Use this if you want to install Pydio on Ubuntu

sudo vi /etc/apt/sources.list

add:
##Pydio repository add###
deb http://dl.ajaxplorer.info/repos/apt stable main
deb-src http://dl.ajaxplorer.info/repos/apt stable main

sudo wget http://dl.ajaxplorer.info/repos/charles@ajaxplorer.info.gpg.key
sudo apt-key add charles@ajaxplorer.info.gpg.key
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install pydio
sudo cp /usr/share/doc/pydio/apache2.sample.conf /etc/apache2/sites-enabled/pydio.conf
sudo service apache2 restart
sudo apt-get install mariadb-server php5-mysql
sudo mysql -u root -p

create database pydiodb;
create user pydiouser@localhost identified by ‘pydiopassword’;
grant all on pydiodb.* to pydiouser@localhost;
FLUSH PRIVILEGES;
exit

sudo php5enmod mcrypt
sudo service apache2 restart
sudo service mysql restart

Fix PHP output buffering:
sudo vi /etc/php5/apache2/php.ini

/output_buffering

find:
output buffering: 4096

change to:
output buffering: off

imagemagick:
sudo apt-get install imagemagick
location /usr/bin/

pdftotext:
sudo apt-get install poppler-utils
location /usr/bin/pdftotext

unoconv:
sudo apt-get install unoconv
/usr/bin/unoconv

Follow the wizard to finish the setup

Other Items you may want to install:
qpdf – decrypt protected PDF files
sudo apt-get install qpdf

To get content searching to work I had to edit:

/usr/share/pydio/conf/bootstrap_repositories.php

“index.lucene” => array(
“index_meta_fields” => “tags”,
“index_content” => true
),

/usr/share/pydio/conf/bootstrap_config.php

Add:

setlocale(LC_ALL, “en.US.UTF-8);
define(AJXP_LOCALE“, “en_US.UTF-8);
